ANNI Report on the Performance of the National Human Rights Commission of India
This report is part of the 2017 ANNI Annual Report on the Performance and Establishment of National Human Rights Institutions in Asia (2017 ANNI Report). This particular chapter of India is prepared by our member in the country; namely All India Network of NGOs and Individuals working with National and State Human Rights Institutions (AiNNI). This report will also be shared to the NHRC India later on, as part of the writing process of the 2017 ANNI Report. For the purpose of the upcoming accreditation of the NHRC India, this report is now submitted to serve as stakeholder information to the Sub-Committee on Accreditation (SCA) of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI) for the upcoming review of the NHRC India.
